5 Things EVERY Ripped Guy Does (COPY THESE!)

  • Published: 02 December 2018
  • Getting ripped and staying ripped forever is not as complicated as some people make it out to be. In fact, it can be boiled down to just five things. In this video, I’m going to show you the 5 things that every ripped guy does that you can start copying in order to get shredded yourself and stay that way forever. No more bouncing up and down in body fat after watching this.

To start, it helps to dispel some of the lies and insignificant methods in which people tend to latch onto in a pursuit of lower body fat. These include things like juice fasts and cleanses, no eating after 6 pm at night, drinking apple cider vinegar to burn fat and doing only fasted cardio to name a few. The issue is not that these methods may not have very very small incremental impacts on your fat loss, it is that they are the equivalent of throwing a deck chair off the titanic to save the sinking ship if you are behind the ball on your current weight. It is not going to work enough to be significant.

Instead, there are 5 tried and true mechanisms that every ripped guy will do that you need to copy if you want to unlock the true secret to long term leanness.

First is that no ripped guy that stays that way forever is dieting. You might be absolutely puzzled by this since it flies in the face of everything you’ve ever been taught. The truth is however, that nobody that stays ripped is dieting. They long ago purged that word from their vocabulary and instead have replaced it with nutrition. When you eat healthy and enjoy the foods you eat you can stick to that style of eating forever.

If the methods of eating that you used to get down to the weight and body fat level you are at were based on deprivation and food group elimination then you will likely not be able to sustain that forever meaning that at some point you are going to wind up putting the weight back on. This is not the right way to go about it. You have to make healthy eating a lifestyle and base it around acceptable foods that you love if you want to unlock the key to being ripped forever.

Next, you must drink a lot of water throughout the day. Staying hydrated will help you to stave off hunger and the confusion of thirst for hunger while at the same time helping you to maintain energy to perform at your best when you train.

Speaking of training, if given the choice between a cardio workout or weight training the guy that stays ripped forever will always choose the weight training session. This is because they know that the biggest key to leanness is putting on muscle. The more muscle you carry the more insulin sensitive your body becomes and the more positively you react to food with less likelihood of fat storage.

In addition, when you lift weights it is important to learn how to lift the weights you should rather than always pursuing the weights you can. This is particular true when your only focus is on strength. In these instances, carrying around a little excess body fat actually works to your advantage to create leverage on most compound lifts. When the obsession is with lifting heavier and heavier numbers then you forget to focus on the quality of the tension delivered to the working muscle and this can have a negative impact on the look of the muscle you are training not to mention set you up for an overreaching injury that will keep you out of the gym for a period of time.

Finally, above all else consistency is required. You must learn how to become consistent with your approach if you want lifetime leanness. It actually isn’t nearly as hard as some would make it out to be since your nutrition is much easier to stay consistent with when you like what you’re eating and your workouts are rewarding.

If you are looking for a program that you can be consistent with and lays out all of your workouts and meals in a step by step way, be sure to click on the link below to get started.

you were right, it worked, and, wow, it's difficult to say how grateful I am. I hated you for your last advice when I first listened to it, but over time I understood you, and it literally became one of the key ideas that I remind myself everyday, not just for building muscle but for every aspect of my life. to build consistency, not just crash with it, fail and move on dissaponted. in our anxious and competetitive world, that should be written in every classroom.

Great advice for people with access to PEDs, but if you're going there why not throw on some Adderall? And one of the five rules isn't a caloric deficit, wtf? That is the single most important thing. And not eating after 6 pm with the explanation of "just listen to me, don't question it". It does not matter at all, by science bruh, when you consume calories. All that matters is the total caloric input for the day and it doesn't even matter what form of energy that comes in. Even a novice understands this principal. And who the hell confuses fasted cardio with just plain old cardio? Fasted very obviously means being in a fasted state and I assume even AOC knows that. Finally, I get that you are unbelievably jacked, I get it. I will never get there but for two main reasons. I don't subject my body to steroids and my livelihood, my sole means of financial support, don't come from working out. With drugs and your entire paycheck on the line, that's the real way to get ripped. No offense dude, I love all your other videos and adapted tons of your advice into my routines. Also I admit I didn't even watch this whole thing bc it started off so demotivational. Keep up the good work (for the most part)👍

Fasted cardio is DA SHIT, there's simply no better way. If you're not used to fasting in general, just do intermittent fasting until it's natural, then start building up to exercising while fasted. Not just weight loss, this is a sure fire way to prevent many health issues. People have no idea.

When you're just concerned about looking good keep lifting them bars and walking taking up space, trying to intimidate people, but the day AJ stepped in the ring with Ruiz just a few weeks ago, the entire world was shocked. And no, he didn't get beaten from that left hook to the back of the ear stop it! he gassed. Anyone who pushes weightlifting over cardio is an Audi driver who prioritize posing over a car that actually super fun to drive(bimmer Porsche).

Lift a bit more than you find comfortable. The less comfortable, the better, until you can't do it or lose form when performing exercises.

Glad he debunked the whole "don't eat after 6 PM". Yes, if you eat late then you're more likely to overeat and not sleep as well - this drives hunger hormones and you'll tend to eat more the next day. So the statement is not total nonsense, but what people tend to think it means (that you're not burning as many calories) is nonsense. Ultimately, it's about how many calories you eat ad burn (which you do even without any exercise) every 24 hours. A calorie is a unit of energy. Can't tell you how many trainers say stupid things like "well, if you eat most of your calories at night, then you're not burning them off". Forehead slap. If anyone says that to you, then you should stop listening to them immediately. Multiply your weight by 12 and you have a rough estimate of your maintenance calories if you sit around all day. Also, one thing he's wrong about here - the number of calories burned by muscle compared to fat is dramatically overstated in the industry. Ripped people tend to burn more during workouts - that's the key difference. The single biggest driver of resting metabolic rate is body mass, otherwise known as WEIGHT. The reason people gain weight back is because they lose it too fast. If you lose weight very slowly over time, then you're intake, habits, and hunger hormones will also adjust slowly over time. If you lose it quickly then your body and hunger hormones and habits haven't adjusted, and you'll gain it all back quickly.

On the “no diet” rule, would you consider intermittent fasting a ‘diet’ if someone was comfortable with the idea of maintaining it for the rest of their life? Because, honestly, after a few weeks, Ive grown quite accustomed to it. And it is pretty flexible, in that if I’m super hungry on a particular day, I can just extend my eating window a bit without totally abandoning my fast for the day. I dunno’, I hear what you are saying about deprivation, but is being occasionally hungry really all that bad a thing if I can stick to it? Also, the more I do it, the less hungry I seem to be. It’s like my body knows it’s not gonna’ get food for the first half of the day, so it doesn’t make much of a fuss about it.

Also worth mentioning, I feel great—high energy, less bloated, alert. Makes me wonder if there was ever any real logic/science behind the whole 3 square a day thing, or if it’s just what I got used to.
