    are basically atoms as big as mountains with properties so extreme it's mind-blowing. And if you get too close to a neutron star you are in big trouble…

          I have some questions about fusion:

          How does the fusion of neon leads to oxygen if oxygen (8) has a smaller atomic number than neon (10)?
          How are all the other elements made if fusion mainly makes the elements mentioned (H, He, C, Ne, O, Si, Fe)? Do they decay? Or is it something else?

                                                if you detonated a nuke on the surface of a neutron star somehow, since the neutron star has such extreme gravity, would the explosion just move along the surface of the star, instead of mushrooming?

                                                  So these neutron stars are spinning ridiculously fast, but there's one thing you need to consider. The effect of gravitational time dilation. Stronger gravity = slower flow of time.... so what we're seeing is actually these neutron stars.... spinning in slow motion. So who knows how fast they are *_actually spinning_*
